Pin-Chun Liu 劉品均 / Producer

Pin-Chun was born and raised in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. After earning a degree in Sociology from the National Taiwan University, she began working in productions and producing independent films. Her first feature, an American-based independent film, THE TAIWAN OYSTER, was premiered in the 2012 SXSW Film Festival and distributed by SnagFilms. After working as a translator and liaison on Ang Lee’s LIFE OF PI, she attended and received her MFA at the American Film Institute in producing and her thesis, WAY IN RYE, was a finalist for the Student Academy Award. Other films include THE NIGHT IS OURS, which was premiered at Frameline Film Festival; and CONTRAPELO, which was premiered at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival and shortlisted for 2016 Academy Award Best Live Action Short. The films she produced have played at more than 50 film festivals and won several "best short film" awards. She is currently developing and fundraising for her feature projects. 


品均畢業於台灣大學社會學系,2007年開始在台灣參與廣告電視電影製作,2010年擔任電影長片<台灣牡蠣>製片,於美國西南偏南影展(SXSW FILM FESTIVAL) 競賽片全球首映,2012台北城市遊牧影展開幕片。在台灣參與李安導演<少年PI的奇幻漂流>拍攝之後,品均於2011年前往洛杉磯美國電影學院American Film Institute)攻讀電影製片藝術碩士。2013年夏天,品均完成長片Making the Rules及畢業作品Way in Rye。短片Contrapelo<背道而馳>The Night Is Ours分別在2014美國翠貝卡影展首映及舊金山Frameline電影節首映。Contrapelo<背道而馳> 在2016年入選奧斯卡最佳劇情短片決選名單。品均近期除了持續製作優質短片及網劇之外,也在密集籌備他的電影長片計畫。
